Textová instalace vzniklá v přímé reakci na architektonické zákonitosti Fait Gallery Preview je pokračováním předchozích projektů Jiřího Valocha. Zaměřuje se na práci se slovem jako typem obrazu. Slova v ní budou osvobozena z pevné struktury a významu vět. Ožijí ve své vizualitě a tautologii, navodí silný pocit smyslového vnímání. Budou to slova, která ovládnou prostor.

Jiří Valoch (1946) umělec, teoretik, kritik, kurátor a sběratel patří mezi nejdůležitější představitele druhé vlny experimentální poesie. Jeho práce s textem se podřizuje konceptuálnímu uvažování ve smyslu narušování sémantické roviny jazyka ve prospěch osvobození samotného slova v jeho estetických a významově skrytých rovinách. Své textové instalace umisťované přímo na stěnách galerií vytváří od konce 60. let, kdy mimo jiné participoval na výstavě Klubu Konkrétistů svým autorským příspěvkem: Výstava jednoho slova (Domu pánů z Kunštátu, 13. – 30. 3. 1970, vystaven minimal-poem-object: bilý panel ležící s černým nápisem ticho).

V realizaci pro Fait Gallery Preview čerpá z textů původně vyhotovených pro formát A4, které byly na počátku letošního roku společně s archivem Jiřího Valocha věnované Moravské Galerii v Brně a představují tak jednu z důležitých východisek nově připravované stálé expozice: Umění po roce 1945. Myšlenka převedení těchto malo-formátových vizuálních básní do architektonického prostoru galerie vychází z jejich přirozené proměnlivosti ve vztahu k aktuálním podmínkám prezentace.

The text installation created as a direct response to the architectural features of the Fait Gallery Preview is actually a follow up of Jiří Valoch’s previous projects. He focuses on the work with the word as a type of picture. The words will be freed from the fixed structure and meaning of the sentences. They will come to life thanks to their visuality and tautology, they bring a strong feeling of perception by all senses. It will be words that dominate the area.

Jiří Valoch (1946) an artist, theorist, critic, curator and collector, is among the most important representatives of the second wave of experimental poetry. His work with the text is subordinate to conceptual thinking in terms of disturbing the semantic level of language in favor of the liberation of the word in its aesthetic and hidden levels of meaning. He has been creating his textual installations placed directly on the gallery walls since the late 60s, when he, among others, participated on the exhibition of the Concretists Club by his own creative contribution: Exhibition of One Word (House of Lords of Kunštát, 13th – 30th March 1970, showed minimal-poem-object: lying white panel with the word silence).

In the installation for the Fait Gallery Preview he uses some of the texts originally created for the A4 size, that were given to the Moravian Gallery in Brno, together with Jiří Valoch‘s archive at the beginning of this year. Therefore they represent one of the important bases of the new forthcoming permanent exhibition: Art after 1945. The idea of transferring these little-format-visual poems into the architectural space of the gallery comes from their natural variability in relation to the current conditions of presentation.
