Jáchym Šimek – Mirroring of Principles / Slowly Moving Melting Machines

Jáchym’s work can be seen as a world made of many worlds, as his creative inspiration is fascinatingly intertwined with disciplines such as philosophy, mathematics and physics. He depicts his effort to penetrate the essence of reality through symbols – the suggestion of essence.    

 Thus, in the exhibition Mirroring of Principles, the viewer will discover reliefs entitled: “Went to Play Golf /Hole Disappeared”, “Mechanical and Parasitic Tendencies”, “Life Cycle /Decompossed”. 

We can afford to put Jáchym’s artistic production in the word/prefix <meta>. Since the author creates his own meta-language on the basis of a systematic arrangement of his knowledge and its deliberate creative decomposition. Enchanted by space, like Alice in Wonderland, he records and casts his thought processes into concrete reliefs, heads and paintings. Jáchym Šimek is currently a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. 

►►►Jáchymovu tvorbu lze chápat jako svět stvořený z mnoha světů, neboť svou tvůrčí inspiraci fascinovaně proplétá disciplínami jako filozofie, matematika či fyzika. Snahu o proniknutí k podstatě skutečnosti zobrazuje skrze symboly – sugescí podstaty.    

 Divák tak ve výstavě Mirroring of Principles objeví reliéfy s názvem: „Went to Play Golf /Hole Disappeared“, „Mechanical and Parasitic Tendencies“, „Life Cycle /Decompossed“. 

Jáchymovu výtvarnou produkci si můžeme dovolit vměstnat do slova/předpony <meta>. Jelikož autor vytváří vlastní meta-jazyk na základně systematického uspořádání svých znalostí a jejich záměrně tvůrčím rozpadem. Okouzlen prostorem podobně jako Alice in Wonderland, zaznamenává a odlévá své myšlenkové procesy do betonových reliéfů, hlav i maleb. Jáchym Šimek je v současné době studentem Akademie výtvarných umění v Praze.
