Pragovka Gallery Vás srdečně zve na dernisáž výstavy s komentovanou prohlídkou Petry Brázdilové – Chronika stavební kultury jedné malé obce v neděli 20. 5. 2018 v 18:30. 

Dernisáž výstavy je součástí doprovodného programu festivalu Open House Praha // Pragovka probíhající celý víkend 19. – 20. května. Nedělní dernisáž si tak můžete zpříjemnit například návštěvou uměleckého blešáku Art Bazaar na Pragovce, který bude probíhat v areálu Pragovka Art District od 10:30 do 18:00.

Cyklus obrazů Petry Brázdilové čerpá z dědictví normalizační architektury v její rodné obci Bystřička na Valašsku. Autorka si coby místní kronikář/interpret klade za úkol poměrně ambiciózní a vlastně vědomě nereálný cíl, zmapovat a obrazově zachytit všechny stavby nacházející se na území obce, zejména místní evergreeny – Hasiči, Sokol, Obecní Úřad, místní putiky, obchody atd.
Jak autorka sama dodává: "Dobová estetika těchto nijak přitažlivých staveb oslovuje svou nejednoznačností: svébytností a zároveň ignorantstvím vůči okolí, stylovou nesourodostí a současně vynucenou uniformitou."
Petra Brázdilová pojímá celý projekt jako malířský úkol, jež svou sugestivní a rafinovanou hrou s formou, námětem a vlastní hravou sebereflexí překračuje i projektovo-badatelské pozadí celé práce. Nakonec tak spíše dospívá k mnohovrstevnaté výpovědi a umělecké formě, která to, co bylo původně místně specifické posouvá do podoby, která v některých rysech hraničí až s určitou znakovostí, čirou fantazií nebo sdíleně prožívanými symboly.
Promyšlená míra nadsázky, oscilování mezi komičností a tragičností a pohrávání si s vlastní identitou, jsou prostředky umělecké hry, které uvozují další témata, jako jsou například vztah centra k periferii, korigovaného záměru a nepředvídatelné nahodilosti, osobního a sdíleného, afektovaného a upřímného, úspěšného a neúspěšného.

The serie of paintings by Petra Brázdilová deals with the heritage of architecture during the normalisation in her native town Bystřička in Wallachia. The author as a local chronicler / interpretor is tasked with a rather ambitious and consciously unrealistic goal, mapping and capturing images of all the buildings located on the territory of the village, especially the local evergreens – Firemen, Sokol, Municipality, local boutiques, atc.
As the author adds, "The past aesthetics of these unattractive buildings appeals with its ambiguity: by its uniqueness and ignorance of its surroundings, by its incoherent style and in the same time by its forced uniformity."
Petra Brázdilová conceives the whole project as a painting task which exceeds the project-research background of the whole work using the suggestive and refined play with form, theme and her own playful self-reflection. In the end, it is more likely to come to multi-layered statement and artistic form that moves what originally locally specific has shifted into a form which at some way can border with clear fantasy or mutual symbols. 
A thoughtful amount of exaggeration, the oscillation between comity and tragedy, and playing with her own identity are all tools of artistic expressions which introduce other themes such as the relation of the center and the periphery, the corrected intent and the unpredictable casualty, personal and mutual, affectionate and sincere, successful and unsuccessful.
